Remember that and you’ll Rock it.

If I have learned anything from experience, it’s that if you guys spend the session gushing over each other, the photos tell the story all by themselves.

Tip #1 - Think Of It As A Date

Plan your session around something you love doing. Maybe you like walks on the park or hiking it the woods, maybe it’s as sweet as going to a coffee shop for hot beverages and treats or as simple as cooking dinner together in your own home. The comfort of a familiar space or activity removes the stress and incorporates the fun!

Tip #2 - Don’t Rush

Schedule a time that works. You don’t want to be rushing to get ready and get there. If you luck is like mine, when you are running late, every light seems to be red and somehow makes you feel rushed, frazzled and all out of sorts.

Tip #3 - Invest In Yourself

Plan your wardrobe ahead of time. Plan a couple of options incase the weather changes or you change your mind. I know for myself, I might love an outfit one day but the next, I’m just not feelin’ it. Tip #4 - Embrace The Unknown

Nervousness is part of the experience, we’re not models and don’t do this on the regular. So trust your photographer! It’s inevitable you’re going to get nervous, I know I do when the camera is pointed at me. But, trust your photographer, if you do, you will calm down, have lots of fun and end up with great images!

Tip # 5 - You’re Not Alone

Everyone feels like this! But more importantly, you are getting your session done with a partner, lean on them to remove some pressure. It’s much more fun to be nervous with someone else. If you’re too nervous, focus on your partner and forget about the camera and you will be all set!
