Dreaming about your wedding day gives you all the feels. Perusing Pinterest for inspiration and envisioning the photo gallery for those perfect shots. Your photographers skill level is important and will have a lot to do with capturing dreamy images, but there are other things to consider. You are able to help your favourite photographer and do a little pre prep!

It is extremely important to wear what you feel epic in! It goes a long way. If you feel confident, it will shine through into your photos. It’s always fun to bring an extra outfit to your session too. You can have two styles, one dressier outfit and one more casual one. This is again where I like to reiterate my feeling about wearing flats and bringing heels if they’re wanting them for the photos. We may hike across a beach or through a forest trail. Who knows, it’s an adventure!

I’m sure you have attended weddings, watching wedding shows and obsess over everything wedding related at this point. You read magazines and pour over blogs and anything you can find on Google or Pinterest. You’re receiving lots of advice saying “coordinate your flowers” or “seasonal colour schemes” or even things like “bring dancing shoes” and while all of this is good advice there are a few other tips I have for you to maximize your entire wedding day experience!

Sure, their exceptional photos that you fell in love with are important, but you will be spending the entire day with them! So you need to check off a few other boxes too.

I love the intimate feels of photographing backyard weddings. I love travelling to all parts of Ontario to check out the beautiful province. This gorgeous property was close to Cobourg Ontario, which isn’t far from Peterborough, but I love shooting all types of weddings, so no backyard is too far away!

It is an opportunity for you and your partner to see each other after the hustle and bustle of getting ready. But before the ceremony. A moment, you get to enjoy together, in quiet bliss where you can fully appreciate each other. You get to share this moment in private or with your closest friends and family.
